Heroes
Usually I talk about comic book that are so
good and well known they make TV shows and
movies about them. Well this time I'm going
to talk about a TV show that did so well they
turned it into a comic book, Heroes. The gist
of the story is about different people who
have been born with or achieved supernatural
abilities. While dealing with the stress and
hardship that comes with ones powers, there
also is an organization who is trying to
locate and imprison people with a mystical
power. Not only do they abduct people with
special abilities, but they also run
experiments on them and conduct their own
experiments to create these kinds of people.
The TV series ran for a complete four seasons
before calling it quits, but ending the
series the way they did, they created an
uproar if angry fans. Even with the unset
fans, they show didn't make enough money to
continue productions. Instead they created a
comic book starting where the television
series left off. In my opinion the best part
of the show was the creativity of the
different abilities people had and the
storyline that brought some characters
together. Some of my favorite abilities were
the puppet master, he had the ability to
control and make them do whatever he desired.
Another one of my favorite abilities they had
on the show was a mind reader, but he wasn't
just your ordinary mind reader. He could also
push ideas or thoughts into your mind, to
make to you do something he wanted or make
you think a different ways, and change your
mind about any idea. He can even trap someone
in their own head or their dreams. If you
haven't watched the show yet, I'd defiantly
tell you to consider it. It's surprising,
thrilling and will keep you guessing the
whole way through.

The Incredible Hulk
The Incredible Hulk first appeared in the Marvel Comics in May 1962. Most people know the Hulk for being green, but what most people don't know is that he was originally gray in the comic books. In 2008 Universal/Marvel Studios released the Incredible Hulk. It sheds light on a different background story then seen in previous Incredible Hulk adaptations.

The movie begins with Bruce Banner ( the Incredible Hulk ) working on what he believes to be a serium to protect humans from gamma radiation, but it's really a jump start for a army super soilder. When an experiment fails that exposes Bruce Banner to massive amounts of gamma radiation the Hulk is born. In rage and confusion he destroys his lab and injures Betty ( his girlfriend ) and goes on the run, hiding from the United States Army.
Fast forward five years and Bruce is working in a bottling factory, searching for a cure for what he believes is a curse. When his where abouts are discovered by the U.S Army he has to move on and continue his research, but first he needs to collect irreplacable data located back in the U.S. Realizing they can't stop the Hulk without some sort of upper hand they green light the creating of their own super soldier, Blonsky/Abomination, using the same serium that created Captain America. In a quick but vicious first fight the Hulk literally crushes Blonsky, but the serium helps him heal completely.
While searching for a cure Bruce encounters a Celluar Biologist, Dr. Samuel Sterns, whom is trying to help him find a cure. When Sterns gets a blood sample from Bruce he realizes the medical applications of his disease are limitless and mass produces his blood. Mean while the Army has been tracking Bruce and trailed him to this Doctors. Taking him out without incident, Blonsky forces sterns to inject the Hulks blood into himself. When the 2 seriums mix they create Abomination, one of the Hulks strongest Nemisis. In an all out battle the two teear down half of Harlem in an epic battle in which the Hulk emerges victorious and back in the good graces of the U.S. After the fight Bruce realizes he should stop focusing on a cure for the Hulk and start focus on controlling. This is by far my favorite adaptation of the Hulk as it stay true to the roots of the comic book.

Batman Trilogy
Most people know Batman from the cartoons, the comic book, or the most recent movies. But what most people dont know is that the Batman adaptation actually began in 1943. Shown in black and white the movie had two sequals made after it. Then another mvoie was made in 1966 which followed the comic book of the 1960s. 25 years later Tim Burton recreated the Batman movies in 1980s starting Michael Keaton in the lead role, and Jack Nicholson as "The Joker". While the movie was a bit cheesy, the flick made enough money to get sequels started and Burton returned with villains Catwoman and The Penguin for 1992's Batmans Returns. But then Warner Bros left us with Joel Schumacher and a replacement Batmen Val Kilmer (Batman Forever - 1995) and George Clooney (Batman & Robin - 1997).With a new direcrtor in place the movies were still too cheesy, and had too many villains mixed in. After an 8-year hiatus, Warner Bros rebooted the Batman films with 2005's Batman Begins. Directed by Christopher Nolan it became a more realistic and relatable Batman. Batman Begins follows the origin of Batman, how he became Batman and why he choose that path. Soon after Christopher Nolan release the Dark Knight staring Heath Ledger as the Jokern in 2008. Next Christopher Nolan released a third and final movie to the trilogy the Dark Knight Rises in 2012, with Bane as the new villian. Christopher Nolan is actually working on Man Of Steel which is going to work up to a Justice League movie, in Which Batman will be rebooted again.

Smallville

I would reccomend this show and the comic book that follows, to anyone who is a superman fan. This show brings everything, suspense, romance, action, and a backround that other comic books and movies never showed.

It continues to follow Rick as he searches for family and a peaceful exsistance worth living for. As easy as that sounds Rick is faced with many challenges not only with the relentless and infectious walkers, but its not just the dead that Rick has to worry about, the living can be just as deadly.
