The Amazing Spider-man

Spider-man has been a well known comic book character for many decades; making his debut in the early 1960s. Just recently they released a new version of Spider-man known as the Amazing Spider-man, and by far the best rendition of the comic book. I say this movie is the best so far is because this movie stays true and captures the element of Spider-man, they way it does in the comic book. For instance in the comic book Spider-man creates a device that he wears on his wrist, that shoot out spider webs when needed. Well in all the shows and past movies they show him gaining the ability to shoot webs from his wrist, but unlike the rest, this Spider-man creates his "web shooters" him self thus staying true to the comic book. Also the story line of who Peter Parker is and they way he acted stays true to the comic. For example in the comics he is portrayed as sort of a nerd, anti-social, and accident-prone, which is what made Spider-man so relatable and made the character popular. The villain in the new Spider-man is Dr.Curt Connors, who is currently working on a serum to cure illnesses. While dealing with a missing limb Dr. Connors tries the serum on himself in hopes of regenerating him arm. At first everything goes smooth, his arm regenerates and he is thrilled that he has his arm back. Soon after the regrowth of his arm he starts to mutate into a reptile, thus the Lizard is born.Spider-man must defeat the Lizard and deal with death of his parents and his uncle. This by far is the best remake of the Spider-man comic books' and i am very excited to watch the sequel.

Heroes

Usually I talk about comic book that are so
good and well known they make TV shows and
movies about them. Well this time I'm going
to talk about a TV show that did so well they
turned it into a comic book, Heroes. The gist
of the story is about different people who
have been born with or achieved supernatural
abilities. While dealing with the stress and
hardship that comes with ones powers, there
also is an organization who is trying to
locate and imprison people with a mystical
power. Not only do they abduct people with
special abilities, but they also run
experiments on them and conduct their own
experiments to create these kinds of people.
The TV series ran for a complete four seasons
before calling it quits, but ending the
series the way they did, they created an
uproar if angry fans. Even with the unset
fans, they show didn't make enough money to
continue productions. Instead they created a
comic book starting where the television
series left off. In my opinion the best part
of the show was the creativity of the
different abilities people had and the
storyline that brought some characters
together. Some of my favorite abilities were
the puppet master, he had the ability to
control and make them do whatever he desired.
Another one of my favorite abilities they had
on the show was a mind reader, but he wasn't
just your ordinary mind reader. He could also
push ideas or thoughts into your mind, to
make to you do something he wanted or make
you think a different ways, and change your
mind about any idea. He can even trap someone
in their own head or their dreams. If you
haven't watched the show yet, I'd defiantly
tell you to consider it. It's surprising,
thrilling and will keep you guessing the
whole way through.
